The City Council is set to hear the request from Lower Coast Algiers citizens to change their zoning from multi-family to single-family rural on Dec 5 at 10 am in the City Council Chambers. The Lower Coast citizens believe this change will reflect their vision and concerns for this area. There is a four-story, 276-unit apartment dwelling proposed for this area.
If you would like to join with the Lower Coast Algiers Association (as I will), please add your name to this petition and show up for the City Council Hearing. We believe in linking arms with other associations to support their concerns.
The Lower Coast Algiers citizens concerns:

b. road usage and traffic study;
c. utility infrastructure impact;
d. available municipal services for fire, police, medical care and education; and, e. an environmental impact analysis of the resulting deforestation, including the destruction of wildlife habitats.
