Please join us on May 1, when Rafael Goyeneche and Candidate Edwin Shorty will be our featured speakers. Rafael is the President of the Metropolitan Crime Commission which has been tracking crime in our area for decades and is the most comprehensive source for crime statistics in our city. Edwin Shorty, a New Orleans native, has served as Constable of Second City Court in Algiers since 2013. His career in law enforcement began as a Deputy Sheriff with the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office before he became an attorney specializing in bankruptcy and personal injury law.
We meet in the choir room at Connect Church, 1110 Kabel Drive, Algiers, from 6-8. Doors open at 6. The program begins at 6:30, and we end promptly at 8 though many of you stay afterward to visit.
